It’s December and we’re busy decking our hall with holiday cheer! Join us for a variety of shows and events that are sure to warm your heart and liven your spirits this winter.
On Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14 we are excited to bring back our traditional German Christmas Market – Weihnachtsmarkt. Bundle up to shop 30+ vendor booths stocked with homemade goods and holiday gifts, listen to live music, watch dance and vocal performances, eat traditional dishes like Currywurst and European pastries, and sip on cool seasonal brews or warm Glühwein. The Weihnachtsmarkt web page has more information. You can also follow along as we post event updates for Day 1 and Day 2 on Facebook.
Help save lives by giving the gift of blood on Tuesday, Dec. 16. From 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., the San Diego Bloodmobile will be parked in our lot – accepting both appointments and walk-ins. Learn more at sandiegobloodbank.org/donate or give them a call to let them know you’re coming at 619-400-8251. Because it’s the season for giving, donors will go home with a “Yeti or Not, Make a Difference” t-shirt (while supplies last). Download the flyer for specifics.
The following day, on Dec. 17, our Germania Blaskapelle has band will be presenting their seasonal concert titled, “Deutsche Weihnacht – A German Christmas”. Directed by John Winkleman, the show starts at 7:30 p.m. with the option to add dinner at 6 p.m. Click here to buy tickets. Details are in this flyer.
Karneval is still going strong, with a Home Event taking place Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at our Club. Everyone can attend and costumes are encouraged! Don your best “Neverland” attire as we welcome back to the stage our Royal Court, Elfrerat, and Prinzengarde dancers. This activity usually occurs after GAMGA in Las Vegas – but due to a very short Fifth Season, we have the unique opportunity to give you a sneak peek at what the rest of the world won’t see until Jan. 23-25! Information and a ticket link will be posted to our Karneval event web page as soon as they are finalized.
Closing out the Karneval season is an event for our youngest members and their families – KinderKarneval. During the afternoon of Feb. 7, we will celebrate our Kinder Prinzenpaar and KinderTanz dancers with shows, games, prizes and a candy cannon! All are welcome at this free, public event with food and drinks available for purchase. Please stay tuned; once plans are confirmed they will be shared on our website and Facebook and Instagram pages.
